Admission Criteria

University College at the University of Denver offers admission to applicants who demonstrate the highest potential for successful graduate study. Applicants are evaluated by the individual programs to which they apply on the basis of their prior performance and professional promise as evidenced by academic records, letters of reference,  and other pertinent data. An applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Baccalaureate Degree:  Applicants must hold an earned baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

  • The minimum undergraduate GPA for admission consideration for graduate study at the University of Denver is a cumulative 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for the last 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits (approximately two years of work) for the baccalaureate degree. An earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution supersedes the minimum standards for the baccalaureate. For applicants with graduate coursework but who have not earned a master’s degree or higher, the GPA from the graduate work may be used to meet the requirement. The minimum GPA is a cumulative 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for all graduate coursework undertaken.

  • Standardized Test Scores:  GMAT and GRE are not required.

International student requirements

There are additional international student requirements. Students whose native language is not English must also attend the International Student Preparation Week prior to attending classes.

English proficiency requirements

If english is not your native language, you are required to provide english proficiency either with a degree completed within the U.S or passing CAE, TOEFL or IELTS.
