COMM 4070 - Understanding Human Communication
In this course, students examine and emphasize diverse communication theories, their origin, and applied use in personal, organizational and smaller professional settings. The course includes case studies, surveys, projects, and self-assessment to encourage students to reflect on personal experiences with issues like interpersonal communication and group and team dynamics to facilitate understanding of the importance of applying theory to practice. Key skills and strengths are identified as they relate to one’s professional goals and objectives.
