HR Management and Development (Certificate)
HR professionals need strategic ideas that can bring an organization forward as they implement organizational change and guide employees as they adapt to change. The graduate certificate in HR Management and Development presents the different stages of change and provides you with the skills needed to manage the interventions, compensation, and benefits issues that accompany organizational change. You’ll learn to:
- Create an organizational change plan that encompasses HR responsibilities such as building teams, managing change and/or crisis, and communicating to the organization
- Analyze consulting methods used by HR departments to influence achievement
- Examine the business lifecycle phases and provide an analysis on interventions, compensation, and benefits
- Compare and contrast stages of change in an organization and provide HR strategies in managing these stages
Credits earned through this graduate certificate may apply toward a master's degree in Strategic Human Resources.

The graduate Certificate of Advanced Study in HR Management and Development requires completion of 24 credit hours (6 courses).
Concentration courses allow students to focus on a specific professional area within the larger industry sector in which they are working or wish to work, and master the skills needed to excel in that area.

- HRA 4510 - Organizational Lifecycles and HR Implications

Electives may be chosen from among all courses in Strategic Human Resources programs. You may also select courses from other University College graduate programs with approval from the academic director.
