Gaining knowledge and staying informed about local, global, and current events are crucial to personal development and enrichment. From exploring new ideas and perspectives to connecting with a wider community, lifelong learning has benefits in the workplace and beyond.

In today’s fast-paced world, it can be a challenge to find the time to seek out knowledge, so the Enrichment Program at the University of Denver has developed unique opportunities for lifelong learning in ever-changing times.

This fall, more than 50 courses and one-night lectures are being offered entirely online via Zoom through the Enrichment Program. These info-packed courses don’t come with tests or homework; they are simply bite-sized sessions that provide a deeper understanding of current issues, personal interests, and professional skills.

Several courses offered in September and October are dedicated to subjects that affect local, national, and global business, community, and economy. Live, online one-night lectures include:

  • Growth of Green: A Hemp Industry Overview (Sept. 30, 2021, 7–9 p.m.)
  • Do Colorado Right: Responsible Tourism in Colorado (Oct. 20, 2021, 7–9 p.m.)

Multiple-session, live, online courses include:

  • The Current State and Future of Democratic Capitalism: Join economist Robert Melvin and ethicist Buie Seawell to understand the reframing and redefining of the meaning of capital, the process of democracy, and more. (Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27, 2021 6:30–8:30 p.m.)
  • U.S.-Israeli Relations Under the Biden Administration: Examine U.S. policies in Israel in light of recent events, the last administration’s legacy, and the changing dependence on foreign oil. (Oct. 18, 25, 2021, 6:30–8:30 p.m.)

Registration for the online fall course line-up is open. You can find a course that meets your needs and interests, as well as explore more about lifelong learning on the Enrichment Program website at universitycollege.du.edu/enrichment.
