COMM 4221 - Mediation Principles and Practice
Students in this course are presented with an overview of a variety of mediation models, basic principles, procedural steps, and benefits of mediation. Students examine various stages of mediation, including preparation, the mediation session(s), caucusing and settlement. Teaching methods include mini-lectures, discussions, and hands-on experience through role-playing and case studies. Negotiation Principles and Practice is strongly encouraged.
