Introduction to Natural Resource Mgmt

This course provides an examination of the basic principles, trends, challenges, and controversies surrounding the administration of maintaining certain wildlife species, specifically through the administration of the Endangered Species Act. Students gain an understanding the roles and responsibilities of various federal, state and local agencies, environmental and wildlife interest groups, and other organizations involved in endangered species and wildlife management issues; and complex social systems. Students will apply this knowledge to assess and develop policies and methods to conserve endangered species.
