EPM 4500 - Leadership for Environmental Managers
This course is an overview of basic leadership skills with an emphasis on topics germane to practicing environmental professionals. It addresses three main subject areas: leadership principles necessary for advancement from staff to management; effective interpersonal communication; and leading environmental innovation using the natural world as a model. Students will assess their own leadership attributes, characteristics, and skills and construct a personal leadership development plan. The class will make use of reading assignments, written assignments, team projects and class participation.
