HC 4325 - Healthcare Information Technology Applications

This course covers the major healthcare information technologies and topics other than electronic health records systems. There is a large focus in healthcare technology on electronic health record systems. However, there are many other important systems that form the complete framework of modern connected healthcare.This includes electronic practice management (EPM/PMS) systems, scheduling, billing, diagnostics/labs, reporting, payment interfaces, and business intelligence in health care. Prerequisite: HC 4301 or approval by the academic director
