We asked graduates to share their journey to graduation. Here is what Alyssa Albrecht (Organizational Leadership) had to say in her own words…
As I prepare to submit my final capstone and receive my master’s hood, I can’t help but be proud of what I have achieved. When I applied to this program 2.5 years ago, I was nervous to go back to school, to do research, to write a graduate-level paper. Going to school as an adult with a full-time job and other commitments, it can feel like people don’t understand the dedication and sacrifice required to succeed. I’m thankful for the DU community that understood and supported me through this journey and through the weeknights and weekends spent reading, researching, and writing papers. Through hard work and development with other students and the faculty in the leadership program I can say for the first time that I am truly confident in my academic abilities, and I am forever grateful.
Congratulations, Alyssa!
