Christopher Elg (M.P.A. , John Jay College of Criminal Justice) retired after a 35-year career in law enforcement and is joining the academic team in the Security Management program. His last position was the chief of police in Tequesta, Florida. Prior to moving to Florida, Christopher served as a chief of police in Washington, New Jersey, Michigan, and Louisiana. He began his law enforcement career as a New York State Trooper. Christopher also served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve retiring after 31 years of service. His last assignment was as a Special Agent with the Coast Guard Investigative Service (CGIS). In addition to his M.P.A, Christopher also holds an M.A.S. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
