Walter Fernando Balser (Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, Boston University) has years of experience in nonprofit leadership and the learning marketplace. He is an adjunct instructor in the Nonprofit Leadership Program. Walter’s scholarship focuses on the evolving learning marketplace, including the growth of nonprofit and social innovation ventures doing business with schools. He has founded and led several nonprofit organizations, most recently RadSchools.org, a collaborative lab connecting learning organizations through forward-thinking design, networking, and mediatech. Prior to this, Walter served as the founding director of the Open Partnership Education Network (learnOPEN.org), an open source framework to improve collaboration between community thought leaders.
