Doug Farquhar, (J.D. Sturm College of Law, University of Denver) directs the Environmental Health Program at the National Conference of State Legislatures. He works extensively with state legislatures and policy makers from across the country on policies and laws implementing and improving the environmental issues that affect human health. He consults with U.S. EPA, the National Center for Environmental Health at the CDC and US Trade Representative on how environmental policies and laws will affect states, and best approaches to implementing these laws and policies. He has also worked in Mexico and Thailand on developing environmental health programs.
Doug is a graduate of the University of Denver School of Law and the University of Texas, Austin, and recently became an Environmental Public Health Leadership Fellow at the CDC.
