The Security Management degree features three specialties: emergency planning and response, information security, and organizational security−each offering the most innovative instruction from leading professional practitioners who work in the fields they teach.
Private industry is one of the fastest growing security sectors, as organizations and businesses need to protect their employees and customers, physical assets, intellectual property and information, and maintain continuity of operations after major disruptive events. Currently, private sector spending on security management is at least $130 billion per year with more than two million people employed, and these figures will continue to grow. The Security Management degree and graduate certificate curriculum is based on recommendations from ASIS International, allowing for the most up−to−date and relevant instruction available. University College is an active member of the ASIS Foundation's Academic/Practitioner Symposium.
