Al Souid
Al Souid (Ph.D. and M.S. in Environmental and Resource Engineering, State University of New York) is a Board-Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES). He is a registered licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the area of Civil Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. Dr. Souid has been a nationwide Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) since 2003 and has served as a technical lead on many flood risk projects for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and many States and Municipalities nationwide. His expertise is to use GIS to model simulations of riverine and coastal flood maps. Dr. Souid brings his industry experience into the classroom to integrate both theory and practice toward the course materials.
