Sherry Jones

Bio

Sherry Jones has over 16 years of experience teaching philosophy, game design, AI, and cybersecurity college courses. She creates innovative experiments with tools such as AI chatbots, video games, alternate reality games (ARG), and mixed reality (MR) escape rooms. She is passionate about using technology to enhance critical, creative, divergent, and system thinking and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.

Professional Background

Jones is an AI Content Engineering Analyst for a Fortune Tech 10 company.

She formerly served on the Colorado State Government’s Open Educational Resources Council and Gaming and Esports Council Subcommittee to innovate higher education. She was the leading author of “Reports and Recommendations on Gaming & Esports in Colorado” (2021), which proposes an esports league and game studies programs for institutions of higher education. Jones has also published articles and book chapters on the ethical uses of technology and the ethics of video games. She has served as a keynote speaker for several national conferences on topics related to AI, gaming, and education. 

Education

Jones is a doctoral candidate in Leadership and Innovation from Purdue University. She earned a Master of Humanities in Philosophy from the University of Colorado, Denver. She also earned a Teaching of Writing with Neuroscience Certification from Johns Hopkins University.
