Bio

Allison is a seasoned learning and development professional with over 15 years of experience in both higher education and corporate environments. She is currently the Learning and Development Manager at UW Credit Union in Madison, WI and most recently served as the Director of Teaching and Learning at DU’s University College.

Education

Allison earned a ABJ in Advertising from the University of Georgia, a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Georgia and an M.A. in Higher Education from the University of Denver

Professional Background

Currently, Allison leads the learning and development team at UW Credit Union and is responsible for supporting learning initiatives and strategies for over 900 employees. Her team is based in the People Strategies and Solutions department and has expertise in program management, competency alignment, leadership curriculum development and the execution of teaching best practices in a variety of learning environments. With a pulse on the future of learning, Allison brings her expertise to the classroom to help students understand the core foundations of learning, but also strategies for staying future-focused in a fast-paced world.

Motivation for Teaching

Allison has a passion for learning and growth, which shows up in the classroom. She enjoys teaching students about the real-world application of adult learning, instructional design and communications in both professional and academic settings. Her main focus is to foster an inclusive learning environment in which students can be their authentic selves, and peer collaboration is a priority.
