Bio

Briana McCrumb in a Talent Management professional with more than 15 years of experience in this specialized function within Human Resources. She brings insights from neuroscience, and change management to her work and has a history of both building processes and programs from the ground up and taking programs that are working for today and maximizing to meet the needs of the future.

Education

Briana received her Master of Arts in Organizational Development from the University of Denver.

Professional Background

Briana currently serves as a Director Talent Management Business Partner for TIAA. Here she serves the asset management branch of the company. In this role, Briana is responsible for developing the talent strategy for the business including executive development, coaching, organizational design, team effectiveness and utilizing data analytics to drive priorities and measure success. In addition, she executes enterprise processes such as succession planning, performance management, leadership development, training and employee engagement/culture. In her career, Briana has had the opportunity to partner with every HR function and take on the HR Generalist role for 9 months.

Some highlights of Briana’s career are leading executive sessions, designing and guiding retreats for groups from front-line managers to the top 100 leaders in the organization and leading a culture evolution that resulted in her sharing the experience, lessons learned and successes at a conference. Briana has worked for Fortune 500 companies in both the energy and financial sectors, as well as with smaller community and non-profit organizations.

Motivation for Teaching

Briana brings her experience in Human Resources and passion for Talent Management to her teaching. Briana believes that each of us can grow and become better every day through self-reflection and feedback, attributes that drive her teaching style. Briana loves to share experiences with her students that will challenge their thinking and broaden their knowledge of the HR/TM function.
