Dana G. Venenga is a healthcare administrator with over 32 years of experience in the federal and civilian healthcare industry. He has also served as a university adjunct faculty in healthcare administration. He continuously pursues enriching student’s lives in healthcare administration, leadership, and organizational dynamics.
Education
Dana earned an M.S. in Healthcare Administration from Baylor University and a B.S. in Social Sciences from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Professional Background
As a United States Air Force healthcare administrator, Dana served as a medical center administrator, clinic Chief Operating Officer and clinic administrator. During an assignment as the Chief Headquarters Air Force Surgeon General Financial Account, he led a $280 million headquarters account. He also served as Chief of Resources for a 9 hospital/clinic system with an operating budget of over a 110 million dollars. Dana is a healthcare consultant for the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery.
Dana is the author of Leadership Secrets of a Slug, which is a leadership primer containing time-tested leadership principles taught through the lens of military and faith-based stories and anecdotes. Dana strives to be a servant leader in every situation and has a fervent desire to share the knowledge he has gained over a long-spanning career of the military and healthcare service.
