Jenn Block
Bio
Dr. Jenn Block has been a healthcare leader for over 25 years. Her area of expertise is value-based care and assisting provider groups in making the transition from traditional reimbursement models to shared savings and full-risk models. She also has a robust background in quality and clinical operations.
Education
Jenn earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Management & Leadership from Capella University.
Professional Background
Dr. Block currently, a disabled veteran of the U.S. military, serves as the leader of a full-risk model in Tennessee with agilon health where she oversees all aspects of the Medicare Advantage contracts. She has had previous roles with non-profit organizations such as Boston Medical Center, the Sisters of Charity and Kaiser Permanente, and has served in various leadership positions within them.
In addition, she believes in service to our communities and has served on multiple non-profit Boards, most recently Raphah and AgeWell in Middle Tennessee.
Motivation for Teaching
Dr. Block has a deep passion for ensuring that we improve the health and well-being of our seniors and those living with disabilities, while also encouraging our future leaders to think outside the box to solve our national healthcare crisis. She likes to challenge students to exceed their own expectations and offers students mentoring and support even outside of the classroom.
