King has over three decades of experience in healthcare, including nursing, teaching and management experience at managed care institutions. King’s academic emphasis is on healthcare services accessibility and affordability for all, global health and public health for better individuals’ and communities’ health are dear to his heart.

Education

King earned his Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from the National American University and a master’s degree in public health specializing in community and behavioral health sciences from the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado at Denver. On top of his master’s degree in public health, King earned a Doctor of Management in Healthcare Management and Leadership from Colorado Technical University.

Professional Background

Currently, King works as the Housing Navigation Specialist at the City and County of Denver Housing Authority, which is a quasi-municipal corporation with a portfolio of over 13,000 units and housing choice vouchers providing affordable housing to more than 26,000 very low-income individuals.

Motivation for Teaching

King has a passion for teaching which he embraced after completing his high school studies by teaching French and other courses before enrolling in his nursing school path. King aims to transfer the essential notions and up-to-date concepts regarding healthcare to attract scholars’ interest by providing a resonate viable education to individuals interested in learning the healthcare intricacies to be successful leaders in the healthcare industry.
