Marilyn Williams
Bio
Marilyn M Williams has a Ph.D in Geography and Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida in Tampa where she conducted research on population exposure to air pollutants, demographics and the importance of place. She additionally has a Masters of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Management and a Masters in Public Health with a focus on Environmental Health.
She currently works for the Department of Health and Human Services where she is focused on Environmental Justice principles by using energy, pollution and population data to determine how disadvantaged populations in states, territories and tribes are being impacted by different socioeconomic statuses and pollution levels. She previously worked as a Regional Survey Manager/Survey Statistician for the Denver Region where she managed population data collection. She also has been an Environmental Scientist in Chicago, Illinois and Tampa, Florida where she focused on Brownfields and remediation of contaminated soils and water.

Marilyn earned a Ph.D in Geography and Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida.
