Molly Smith
Bio
As a Teaching Assistant Professor and Academic Director for the Organizational Leadership and Strategic Human Resources Programs at University College, Molly Smith leverages her passion for education and leadership development to create meaningful and relevant learning experiences for students.
Education
Prior to completing her PhD in Education at the Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver,Molly earned a Master of Education and Human Resources Studies at Colorado State University and a Master of Business Administration at Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. She also earned her B.A. in Communication at the University of Denver.
Professional Background
In addition to teaching at University of College for over a decade, Molly has taught at Johnson & Wales University, worked with the U.S. Geological Survey’s Leadership Development Program, facilitated national collegiate leadership training and worked as an internal People Development Consultant at Chipotle Mexican Grill. As a curriculum and instructional design consultant, she has designed training programs for a variety of organizations and has served as a subject matter expert for a number of graduate-level courses. She also has experience in the nonprofit sector, having served as the Scholarship Program Coordinator at the Boettcher Foundation early in her career.
Motivation for Teaching
Molly comes from a family of educators and finds great joy in helping students learn, grow and reach their full potential. Her motivation to teach stems from a passion for sharing knowledge, fostering student growth and inspiring lifelong learning.
