Robert Williamson
Bio
Rob Williamson has led a diverse professional career as an attorney, business owner, and military officer. He currently serves as General Counsel in the Rhode Island National Guard where he also is the Director of Strategic Plans and Policy.
Professional Experience
Rob has served as the legal advisor to numerous foreign militaries and to senior American officials. As a civilian, he has practiced law and owned businesses where he led and developed numerous teams and directed operations and strategy. As an Army reservist, he is qualified as a space operations officer and a Judge Advocate, and has had multiple overseas tours and deployments.
Teaching Philosophy
Rob has significant experience reshaping organizations and developing effective teams. He aims to make his teachings immediately applicable to students in their current careers and for future endeavors as leaders of their organizations. As a proud graduate of the University of Denver Law and Business Schools, he completed his degrees while balancing work, home life, and a career, so he understands the challenges that professionals face in returning to the classroom.
Education
Rob has a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in Government & International Studies with a concentration in Peace Studies, where he played varsity lacrosse and was a member of the Army ROTC. He has a J.D./MBA from the University of Denver. Likewise, he has a Master of Strategic Studies from the US Army War College and a Master of Space Studies from American Military University.
