Bio

Summer Miller brings over 20 years of people and culture leadership experience, including executive-level positions in a Fortune 500 setting and consulting and advising in small to mid-sized organizations. As the founder and CEO of SDM Integrative Consulting, she specializes in helping leaders build strategic and consultative capabilities and working with teams to align toward shared outcomes.

Professional Background

Summer leads SDM Integrative Consulting, where she helps businesses design their people practices, processes, and structure for growth. Her services include organizational consulting, coaching and advisory, and Fractional People and Culture (HR) leadership. Summer is passionate about using research, leading practices, and experiences to help leaders and their teams create an inclusive and growth-minded culture, and she also offers this in a volunteer capacity. Summer serves on the Board of Directors for American Indian OIC, Joy Collaborative, and also serves as the Mission and Advocacy Chair with the American Cancer Society in Minneapolis, MN.

Education

Summer earned her Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University and her Master of Professional Studies in Organizational and Professional Communication from the University of Denver. She also holds a Bachelor of Music from Western Oregon University.

Summer’s passion for developing others can be seen in her work and relationships, and in her desire to teach students to think in new ways. Her approach is to help learners find ways to meaningfully integrate theory and practice while navigating interpersonal and organizational dynamics.
